نشر الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، اليوم (الإثنين)، بمناسبة اليوم الوطني السعودي، فيلمًا يوثق مسيرة كرة القدم في المملكة عبر 7 عهود ملكية، مستعرضًا رحلة امتدت لأكثر من قرن، ارتبط خلالها تطور اللعبة بمسيرة الوطن وما حظيت به الرياضة السعودية من دعم ورعاية متواصلين من القيادة عبر الأجيال.
يروي الفيلم قصة كرة القدم السعودية منذ رصد ممارستها بين أبناء الوطن عام 1921، بالتزامن مع خطوات توحيد المملكة على يد المؤسس الملك عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن آل سعود، مستعرضًا حضوره التاريخي لمباراة لكرة القدم في الظهران عام 1947، في واحدة من أبرز المحطات المبكرة في تاريخ اللعبة بالمملكة.
ويستعرض الفيلم امتداد مسيرة الدعم خلال عهود ملوك المملكة، وما رافقها من محطات أسهمت في بناء كرة القدم السعودية وتطورها، من اتساع رقعة ممارسة اللعبة وتأسيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم عام 1955 إلى تطوير المنشآت والملاعب وتنظيم المنافسات وتعزيز الحضور السعودي على الساحة الدولية.
كما يوثق مرحلة الإنجازات التي شهدتها كرة القدم السعودية، وفي مقدمتها تتويج المنتخب الوطني بكأس آسيا للمرة الأولى عام 1984، والمحافظة على لقبه عام 1988، ثم بلوغ نهائيات كأس العالم للمرة الأولى عام 1994، إلى جانب ما شهدته العقود التالية من استمرار تطوير البنية الرياضية ودعم الأندية والمنتخبات الوطنية.
وسلط الفيلم الضوء على المرحلة الحالية في عهد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وبدعم ومتابعة ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، التي تشهد خلالها كرة القدم السعودية مرحلة عالمية، انعكست على تطور منشآتها ومسابقاتها، وتعزيز حضور الأندية والمنتخبات، وتوسع قاعدة الممارسة، وانطلاق كرة القدم النسائية.
كما تناول الفيلم تحول المملكة إلى وجهة لأبرز البطولات والمناسبات الرياضية الدولية، وصولًا إلى استضافة كأس العالم 2034، في محطة تاريخية جديدة تجسد ما وصلت إليه كرة القدم السعودية وحجم طموحاتها للمستقبل.
واختتم الاتحاد السعودي فيلمه برسالة تربط مسيرة كرة القدم بمسيرة الوطن، تحت عنوان «سبعة عهود ملكية.. ومسيرة دعم لم تنقطع»، مستذكرًا رحلة بدأت من البدايات الأولى، وامتدت عبر مراحل البناء والتطور والإنجاز، وصولًا إلى مرحلة عالمية تستعد فيها المملكة لاستضافة العالم في 2034.
The Saudi Football Federation published today (Monday), on the occasion of Saudi National Day, a film documenting the journey of football in the Kingdom across 7 royal eras, showcasing a journey that has spanned more than a century, during which the development of the game has been intertwined with the nation’s path and the continuous support and care that Saudi sports have received from the leadership across generations.
The film narrates the story of Saudi football since its practice was recorded among the citizens in 1921, coinciding with the steps of unifying the Kingdom by the founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, highlighting his historic presence at a football match in Dhahran in 1947, in one of the most prominent early milestones in the history of the game in the Kingdom.
The film showcases the ongoing support throughout the reigns of the Kings of the Kingdom, along with significant milestones that contributed to the building and development of Saudi football, from the expansion of the game’s practice and the establishment of the Saudi Football Federation in 1955 to the development of facilities and stadiums, organizing competitions, and enhancing Saudi presence on the international stage.
It also documents the era of achievements witnessed by Saudi football, foremost among them the national team’s first Asian Cup victory in 1984, retaining its title in 1988, and reaching the World Cup finals for the first time in 1994, alongside the continued development of sports infrastructure and support for clubs and national teams in the subsequent decades.
The film highlights the current phase under the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, with the support and follow-up of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during which Saudi football is experiencing a global phase, reflected in the development of its facilities and competitions, enhancing the presence of clubs and national teams, expanding the base of participation, and the launch of women’s football.
The film also addresses the Kingdom’s transformation into a destination for major international sports championships and events, culminating in hosting the 2034 World Cup, marking a new historical milestone that embodies what Saudi football has achieved and the size of its ambitions for the future.
The Saudi Federation concluded its film with a message linking the journey of football to the journey of the nation, under the title “Seven Royal Eras… and a Continuous Support Journey,” recalling a journey that began from the very early beginnings, extending through phases of construction, development, and achievement, leading to a global phase in which the Kingdom is preparing to host the world in 2034.
