وتابع أن كرة القدم لعبة رياضية تحكمها عوامل فنية وبدنية ونفسية وخططية واضحة، وليست ساحة لتأثير السحر أو الأعمال المزعومة التي يروج لها البعض، فظاهرة ظهور المشعوذين في الأحداث الرياضية الكبرى ليست جديدة، إذ تتكرر مع كل بطولة مهمة، حيث يسعى بعض الأشخاص إلى استغلال شغف الجماهير بكرة القدم وتعلقهم بمنتخباتهم الوطنية من أجل تحقيق مكاسب مادية أو شهرة إعلامية، من خلال الادعاء بامتلاك قدرات خارقة للتنبؤ بالنتائج أو التأثير في مجريات المباريات.
وأشار إلى أن الجماهير الرياضية مطالبة بالإيمان بحقيقة أساسية لا يمكن تجاوزها، وهي أن كرة القدم تقوم على ثلاثة احتمالات طبيعية فقط، وهي الفوز أو الخسارة أو التعادل، فالنتائج تحسم داخل الملعب من خلال أداء اللاعبين وكفاءة الأجهزة الفنية والاستعداد البدني والذهني، وليس من خلال طقوس أو ممارسات يدّعي أصحابها قدرتهم على تغيير مسار المباريات.

ولفت الدكتور براشا إلى أن هذه الخزعبلات تأخذ أشكالاً متعددة ومتجددة، فمنها من يعتمد على الطيور أو الحيوانات في التنبؤ بنتائج المباريات، كما حدث في بطولات سابقة مع بعض الأخطبوطات أو غيرها من الكائنات التي روّج لها باعتبارها قادرة على التنبؤ بالفائزين مسبقاً، كما تظهر بين الحين والآخر شخصيات تدّعي امتلاك قدرات استثنائية أو أسراراً خفية للتأثير في النتائج، في حين أن جميع هذه الممارسات لا تتجاوز كونها أوهاما يتم توظيفها لجذب الانتباه وتحقيق مكاسب مالية وإعلامية.

The phenomenon of charlatans appearing at major sporting events is not new; it recurs with every important tournament, as some individuals seek to exploit the passion of football fans and their attachment to their national teams to achieve financial gains or media fame by claiming to possess supernatural abilities to predict results or influence the course of matches.
He pointed out that sports fans are required to believe in a fundamental truth that cannot be overlooked: football is based on only three natural outcomes: win, lose, or draw. Results are determined on the field through the performance of players, the efficiency of coaching staff, and physical and mental preparation, not through rituals or practices claimed by their proponents to have the ability to change the course of matches.
He added that the real danger of these phenomena does not lie in the alleged magic itself, but in the psychological impact that charlatans leave on some fans and players. With repetition and media promotion, some may develop false convictions that link success or failure to those practices, leading to the entrenchment of irrational ideas that stray from logic and science.
