توفي المصارع البريطاني بنجامين ساترلي، المعروف باسم «PAC»، عن عمر 40 عاماً، بعد يوم واحد فقط من مشاركته في عرض AEW All Out بمدينة شيكاغو، فيما لم تعلن المنظمة سبب الوفاة حتى الآن.
وأعلنت منظمة All Elite Wrestling «AEW» وفاة ساترلي، الأحد، معربة عن حزنها لرحيل المصارع الذي انضم إلى صفوفها عام 2019، مشيدة بمسيرته التي امتدت لنحو عقدين وبأسلوبه القائم على الحركات الجوية والقدرات الفنية داخل الحلبة.
وجاءت الوفاة بعد ساعات قليلة من آخر ظهور للمصارع البريطاني داخل الحلبة، إذ شارك في عرض AEW All Out الذي أقيم (السبت) 26 سبتمبر في صالة NOW Arena بمنطقة هوفمان إستيتس قرب شيكاغو.
وخاض PAC المباراة الافتتاحية للعرض الرئيسي أمام أندرادي إل إيدولو، في مواجهة على لقب AEW الوطني، قبل أن يخسر النزال بعد تثبيته من جانب منافسه.
وشكلت الوفاة مفاجأة كبيرة لجمهور المصارعة، خصوصاً أن ساترلي كان قد ظهر بصورة طبيعية في العرض قبل أقل من يوم من إعلان وفاته، بينما لم تقدم AEW أو المصادر الرسمية المتاحة أي تفاصيل بشأن ملابسات الوفاة أو سببها حتى الآن.
ولد ساترلي في مدينة نيوكاسل أبون تاين شمال شرقي إنجلترا، وبدأ مسيرته الاحترافية في المصارعة عام 2004، قبل أن يخوض تجارب مع عدد من اتحادات المصارعة حول العالم، ويصبح معروفاً بلقب «الرجل الذي نسيته الجاذبية» بسبب أسلوبه الذي اعتمد بصورة كبيرة على القفزات والحركات الجوية.
واكتسب المصارع البريطاني شهرة واسعة خلال فترة عمله مع WWE، حيث ظهر باسم «Adrian Neville» ثم «Neville» بين عامي 2012 و2018، وحقق خلال تلك الفترة ألقاباً عدة، من بينها بطولة NXT وبطولة الوزن الخفيف.
وبعد انتقاله إلى AEW في 2019، أصبح ساترلي أول بطل للقب الذي كان يعرف آنذاك باسم AEW All-Atlantic Championship، والذي تغير اسمه لاحقاً إلى AEW International Championship، كما أحرز بطولة AEW World Trios مرتين.
وقالت AEW إن ساترلي شارك خلال مسيرته مع المنظمة في «بعض أكثر المباريات التي لا تنسى في تاريخ AEW»، فيما توالت رسائل النعي من عدد من نجوم المصارعة، بينهم ويل أوسبراي وكيفن أوينز، عقب الإعلان عن وفاته.
وتأتي وفاة PAC في وقت يشهد فيه عالم المصارعة موجة من ردود الفعل على رحيل عدد من الأسماء، إلا أن المعلومات المتاحة حتى الآن لا تشير إلى وجود صلة بين وفاة ساترلي وأي واقعة أخرى، كما لم تعلن السلطات أو AEW تفاصيل إضافية بشأن ظروف وفاته.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) announced Satterley’s death on Sunday, expressing its sadness over the loss of the wrestler who joined its ranks in 2019, praising his career that spanned nearly two decades and his style based on aerial maneuvers and technical skills in the ring.
The death came just a few hours after the British wrestler’s last appearance in the ring, as he participated in the AEW All Out event held on Saturday, September 26, at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates near Chicago.
PAC competed in the opening match of the main show against Andrade El Idolo, in a contest for the AEW National Championship, before losing the bout after being pinned by his opponent.
The death came as a huge surprise to wrestling fans, especially since Satterley had appeared normally at the event less than a day before the announcement of his death, while AEW or available official sources have not provided any details regarding the circumstances or cause of death so far.
Satterley was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in the northeast of England and began his professional wrestling career in 2004, before trying out with several wrestling promotions around the world, becoming known by the nickname “The Man That Gravity Forgot” due to his style that heavily relied on jumps and aerial moves.
The British wrestler gained wide fame during his time with WWE, where he appeared under the name “Adrian Neville” and then “Neville” between 2012 and 2018, achieving several titles during that period, including the NXT Championship and the Cruiserweight Championship.
After moving to AEW in 2019, Satterley became the first champion of the title that was then known as the AEW All-Atlantic Championship, which was later renamed the AEW International Championship, and he also won the AEW World Trios Championship twice.
AEW stated that Satterley participated during his career with the organization in “some of the most unforgettable matches in AEW history,” while tributes poured in from several wrestling stars, including Will Ospreay and Kevin Owens, following the announcement of his death.
PAC’s death comes at a time when the wrestling world is experiencing a wave of reactions to the loss of several names, yet the information available so far does not indicate any connection between Satterley’s death and any other incident, nor have authorities or AEW announced additional details regarding the circumstances of his death.
