أعلن الاتحاد الإيراني لكرة القدم أن اللاعب مهدي ترابي حصل على تأشيرة دخول متعدد إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ما يتيح له الالتحاق ببعثة المنتخب ومواصلة المشاركة في مباريات كأس العالم 2026 دون قيود سفر، بعد انتهاء صلاحية تأشيرته السابقة عقب مغادرته البلاد إثر المباراة الافتتاحية في لوس أنجلوس.
وأوضح الاتحاد أن ترابي كان قد حصل في وقت سابق على تأشيرة دخول لمرة واحدة فقط، في حين حصل معظم أفراد البعثة على تأشيرات متعددة الدخول، الأمر الذي استدعى تنسيقاً مع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» لتسوية وضعه قبل المباراة القادمة أمام بلجيكا في دور المجموعات.
وأكد بيان الاتحاد أن الجهود المشتركة أسفرت عن إصدار تأشيرة جديدة متعددة الدخول للاعب، ما يضمن تحركه مع المنتخب بين الولايات المتحدة والمكسيك وكندا خلال بقية مباريات البطولة، دون عوائق إدارية.
ويشارك المنتخب الإيراني في البطولة ضمن مجموعة تقام مبارياتها بين مدن لوس أنجلوس وسياتل، مع إقامة معسكره التحضيري في مدينة تيخوانا المكسيكية.
وكانت تقارير قد أشارت إلى رفض تأشيرات دخول عدد من مسؤولي الاتحاد الإيراني، في ظل التوترات السياسية بين طهران وواشنطن، وتصنيف الولايات المتحدة الحرس الثوري الإيراني منظمة إرهابية، ما انعكس على ترتيبات السفر الخاصة بالبعثة.
ويأتي ذلك في وقت أكد الجهاز الفني للمنتخب أن الاضطرابات المرتبطة بإجراءات السفر ألقت بظلالها على استعدادات اللاعبين وأثرت على جاهزيتهم خلال المباريات الأخيرة.
The Iranian Football Federation announced that player Mehdi Taremi has obtained a multiple-entry visa to the United States, allowing him to join the national team and continue participating in the 2026 World Cup matches without travel restrictions, after his previous visa expired following his departure from the country after the opening match in Los Angeles.
The federation clarified that Taremi had previously received a single-entry visa, while most members of the delegation obtained multiple-entry visas, which necessitated coordination with the International Football Federation “FIFA” to resolve his status before the upcoming match against Belgium in the group stage.
The federation’s statement confirmed that joint efforts resulted in the issuance of a new multiple-entry visa for the player, ensuring his movement with the team between the United States, Mexico, and Canada during the remaining matches of the tournament, without administrative obstacles.
The Iranian national team is participating in the tournament within a group whose matches are held between the cities of Los Angeles and Seattle, with their preparatory camp located in the Mexican city of Tijuana.
Reports have indicated that several officials of the Iranian federation had their entry visas rejected, amid political tensions between Tehran and Washington, and the United States designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization, which affected the travel arrangements for the delegation.
This comes at a time when the coaching staff of the national team confirmed that the disruptions related to travel procedures have cast a shadow over the players’ preparations and affected their readiness during the recent matches.
